SOUND FAMILIAR?

You didn’t picture their childhood happening on a screen.

“He just wants my phone all the time — and then he’s on my phone.”

every parent, everywhere

“I don’t want to hand her a tablet just to keep her busy.”

but the alternatives are… what, exactly?

“They grow up so fast — and it’s all lost in a camera roll of 2,000 photos.”

this age doesn’t come back

Every “kids’ gadget” answers a screen with another screen. Toy cameras come loaded with games. Tablets promise they’re “educational.”A phone is a doorway to everything. Pikko goes the other way — a real camera with nothing else on it, and a kid who’s suddenly looking up.

MEET PIKKO

So we made them their own.

All the magic of a camera, and none of the internet.

Their first real camera — retro look, real 1080p photos and videos, and a little screen that shows the shot they just took. Small enough to live on a backpack, tough enough to survive one.

made to be carried

Smaller than a deck of cards, with a lobster-clasp keychain that clips to a backpack or bag. It goes where they go, and at $59 a drop isn’t a disaster.

Shot on Pikko

This is what the photos actually look like

These came off real Pikko cameras at a Friday night football game, a fair and the beach. Nobody edited them or added a filter.

“Honestly, the best $50 I have spent on her.”

We sent a red Pikko to one family and a yellow one to another. Their videos, their words.

Get theirs from $59

Both families received a free Pikko to film with. Their words are their own.

Three simple steps. No app and no account.

Nothing to install, nothing to sync, no Wi-Fi password required.

Charge it, clip it on

The SD card comes pre-formatted and ready. Full charge in under an hour — good for about 1,800 photos. Clip it to the backpack and forget about it.

Let them loose

Backyard, road trip, camp, grandma’s house. With no screen to check, they keep looking up — at birds, clouds, the dog, everything.

Pull the card together

Slot the card into the included reader and see the week through their eyes. Make it Friday slideshow night. Print the good ones — you’ll want to.

THE HONEST COMPARISON

Why not just…the phone?

Every option earns its checkmarks — Pikko’s just the only column without a gap.

WHERE PIKKO GOES

It goes wherever they go.

their first camera

Cool enough for a 12-year-old, simple enough for a 4-year-old.

summer camp

A full week on one charge. The whole session comes home on one card.

birthday parties

The flash fires, the grain adds charm — and the birthday kid becomes the photographer.

road trips & flights

The back-seat activity that isn’t a tablet — the trip from three feet tall.

backyard expeditions

Bugs, clouds, the dog — an ordinary Tuesday, suddenly worth documenting.

the grandparent gift

Nothing to set up. The 2-pack covers both grandkids, and grandma gets the prints.

SAFE BY DESIGN

Nothing gets in & nothing gets out.

A phone is a doorway to everything. Pikko is a doorway to nothing but their own pictures.

THE SCREEN IS JUST A SCREEN

The only thing on it is the photo they just took. No apps, no games, no feeds — nothing designed to hook them.

NO WIFI, NO BLUETOOTH

Nothing connects, nothing uploads. Photos live on the card until you plug it in — no one can reach your kid through it.

NO ACCOUNTS, NO DATA

No app, no sign-up, no cloud. Your kid’s photos are yours — full stop.

TOY-SAFETY CERTIFIED

CPSIA & EN71 tested, BPA-free shell, no small detachable parts. Ages 4+.

FOR THE OLDER ONES (10–14)

Old enough to want something cooler than a toy.

The grainy, flash-lit digicam look is everywhere right now — and vintage cameras are sold out or $200. Pikko is the easy way in: a keychain camera that takes real 1080p photos, clips to their bag, and doesn’t need a phone.

The look their friends are after — no filter can fake it

A pocket camera that looks the part next to their friends'

Clips to a tote or backpack — part camera, part bag charm

STILL DECIDING?

Everything parents ask.

Can they take videos too, or just photos?

Both — Pikko shoots 1080p video as well as photos, same one-button simplicity.

What happens when the SD card fills up?

Pull the card, plug it into the included reader, move the photos to your computer or phone, and it's ready to go again. Takes about two minutes.

Is it screen-free?

Not quite — and that’s on purpose. It has a small screen so they can frame a shot and flip back through their pictures. But that’s all it is: no apps, no internet, no games, no feeds, no social media. It’s a camera with a screen, not a phone. Nothing can reach them through it, and there’s nothing on it to get lost in.

What do the photos actually look like?

Warm, slightly grainy, real — the retro lens gives every shot a look that feels like a memory rather than another sharp phone pic. Because there's a small screen to check the shot immediately, they get far fewer thumbs-over-the-lens surprises than with a disposable. Scroll up to the gallery: every one of those was taken by a kid.

Is it durable? Kids drop everything.

It’s built to be handled by kids — light, rubber-wrapped, made to be clipped on and stuffed into pockets. It’s also priced so a drop isn’t a disaster, and if anything goes wrong you’re covered by the 90-day guarantee.

Is $59 worth it over a $20 toy camera or a disposable?

A disposable is $15-20 every time plus developing, and most kid shots come back unusable. Cheap toy cams ship without SD cards and end up in a drawer. Pikko is a one-time cost with no film ever, ~1,800 photos per charge, and the SD card, charger and reader are included (about $12 of extras, free). It’s the last kids’ camera you’ll buy.

How do we get the photos off?

No app, no account, no Wi-Fi. Pull the SD card, pop it into the included reader or your laptop, and there they are. Make it a Friday-night “photo show.” Three steps, about two minutes.

Is it safe? Can anything get to my child through it?

Yes, it’s safe — and this is the point. No internet, no app, no account, no social media. Nothing connects, so nothing and no one can reach your child through it, and their photos never leave the SD card unless you move them.

What ages is it for, and which color should I get?

Roughly 4–14 as a first camera — one button and a simple screen for the little ones, retro look for the older ones (tweens and teens buy it for the digicam aesthetic alone). It comes in Cherry Red, Retro White, Arcade Black and Rainbow Yellow. Buying for siblings? A different color each keeps the peace about whose is whose.

Will it arrive in time for the birthday?

We ship in 24 hours with tracked delivery — US orders typically arrive in 5–8 business days. It arrives ready to wrap: everything’s already in the box. If anything goes wrong, returns are free for 90 days.

Still have a question? That's normal, and the 90-Day Guarantee means you can decide for sure once it's in their hands.

a note from us

We’re parents too. We got tired of choosing between handing over a phone and handing over nothing. So we made the in-between: a real camera, none of the internet. If it helps your family look up a little more, it did its job.
