lives on my car keys now so it's always with me. pressed a violet in the trailhead parking lot lol

Keep the flowers from every hike, pressed flat in about a week, in a press that clips to your backpack.

"My daughter picks something on every Sunday hike. Now it goes straight into the press on my backpack strap, and by Friday it's flat and taped into her trail journal. We have eleven flowers in there already."
Real flowers from owners' hikes, straight out of the press.

A picked flower starts to wilt within minutes. In a pocket it gets crushed, in a water bottle it goes brown, and by the time you are home and find a heavy book, the petals have curled and the color is gone. Most hikers give up and take a photo instead.
Posy presses the flower right where you pick it. Two metal plates hold it flat between blotting sheets, the sheets pull the water out of the petals, and the four screws keep the edges from curling while it dries. Flat and dry is what keeps the color.
Lay the flower on a sheet, cover it with another, tighten the screws with the mini wrench and clip Posy back on your bag. Open it about a week later and the flower is ready for a journal, a frame or a card.

Thin petals press best: violets, buttercups, daisies and clover. Pick it when it is dry, not wet with morning dew.

Undo the nuts, lift the top plate, put the flower flat on a blotting sheet and cover it with a second one. Found more? Stack them.

Put the top plate back and give each nut a turn with the mini wrench. Clip Posy to your bag and forget about it.

Undo the nuts and lift the sheet. The flower is flat, dry and still has its color, ready to tape into a journal or frame.

3.5 x 5 cm. It hangs from a backpack strap, a keyring or a tote and you forget it is there.
No waiting until you get home. The flower goes flat the minute you pick it, before it can wilt.
Twenty sheets in the box soak the water out of the petals, so they dry flat instead of going brown.
One screw in each corner presses the whole flower evenly, so the edges stay flat.
Clover, Dandelion or Sunflower, engraved in color on the front plate.
The sheets dry out and go back in. When they wear out, a refill pack has 40 more.

Two metal plates with a brass-tone finish. The front one carries your engraved design, the back one is plain so the press sits flat on a table.
Scalloped blotting paper that soaks up the water from the petals. Twenty come in the box, and they can be used again once they dry.
A 7.5 cm mini wrench to tighten the four corner nuts. Small enough to live in the same pocket as the press.

Posy is for people who stop for every flower on the trail. It does one job: it presses the flower you picked, right there, so it still looks like that day when you get home. No heavy books, no big press sitting on a shelf, no crushed petals at the bottom of your bag.
